Mini-Grant Program

Program Overview

The PNW AER Mini-Grant Program awards $500 per recipient, with up to four awards per fiscal year ($2,000 total). Grants support professional development activities that advance your work serving individuals with vision loss.

Eligibility

• Current PNW AER member in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of AER membership
• Maximum one grant every 3 years
• Cannot be used to fund a degree program

Eligible Uses

• Conferences and workshops
• Summer institutes and continuing education
• Action research projects
• Mentoring programs
• Lesson study and professional collaboration

Selection Criteria

Applications are evaluated on:

• Demonstrated commitment to the field of vision impairment
• Strong rationale for the requested activity
• Plan to share or expand education after the opportunity
• Professional resume or CV
• Quality of the written application
